InterContinental Jeddah
VisitedInterContinental Jeddah is a classic city hotel overlooking Al Hamra Corniche, conveniently located for reaching both the commercial districts and Jeddah’s main attractions. From the sea-facing rooms, views—partially screened in keeping with a traditional regional architectural practice—extend towards the Red Sea and King Fahd’s Fountain, which is particularly striking after sunset. The somewhat dated interiors reflect the brand’s traditional style, with an emphasis on functionality and comfort. A swimming pool, spa, gym and three restaurants make it possible to spend part of the day at the hotel, although its main advantage remains its location: a practical base for combining business appointments, walks along the Corniche and visits to Al-Balad. This is not an address to choose for a design-led or luxury experience, nor for a particularly contemporary atmosphere. It is better suited to travellers looking for a familiar international brand, predictable services, very good value for money and relatively convenient access to the different areas of Jeddah.
