Banyan Tree AlUla
VisitedBanyan Tree AlUla occupies a secluded position in Ashar Valley, where the desert landscape is central to the experience. The low-density layout and restrained architecture create a quiet setting suited to rest and privacy. The sand-coloured, tented villas are positioned to blend into the surrounding sandstone landscape and provide a strong sense of seclusion. Accommodation ranges from one-bedroom villas, with or without a pool, to two- and three-bedroom villas with private pools. Interiors combine generous spaces with contemporary Arabian furnishings and artwork. Larger villas include dressing areas, spacious bathrooms and, in selected three-bedroom categories, staff quarters, a kitchen and a dining area. The resort has two restaurants. Harrat serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with local and international dishes and views of the valley. Saffron offers Thai cuisine in a more formal setting for lunch and dinner. In-villa dining is also available. Banyan Tree Spa AlUla offers holistic therapies that combine traditional practices with natural ingredients. Its programme is organised around eight themes: rest, nourishment, connection, movement, mindfulness, growth, groundedness and practice. The resort also has a fitness centre and a rock pool set among the cliffs. Nearby attractions include Hegra, Elephant Rock and Maraya, the mirrored concert hall located close to the resort. Maraya has hosted performers including Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Andrea Bocelli and John Legend, and can be seen from the terrace outside the reception area. Banyan Tree AlUla is a strong choice for travellers seeking privacy, a close relationship with the landscape and convenient access to AlUla's principal attractions.
